eMail Lists
A website is fundamentally a means of communiciation. This is true for all publishing. The wonderful thing about a website is the prospect of two-way communication.
Consider four steps to communication with a website:
- Creating the website. Putting up a website was your first step in opening communication with the world.
- Allowing browsers to contact you. The second step is providing a means for folks to communicate back to you -- a contact page.
- Invitation to join an email list. A third step would be an invitation from your to them to join an email list so that they may receive updates and news related to your website and products.
- Respect. A fourth, and most important step, would be to respect the privacy of those on your email list and use it only for the intended purpose.

It would be a wise idea to sprinkle these around your webpages -- maybe at the bottom of the page.
They say that some folks don't actually hear something until it is said for the six or seventh time. Don't know if that is true or not. But is sure seems easy for people to miss something that is just posted in one tiny corner of your website -- don't ya think?
