The selection of font color can be a most important decision for your website. Sometimes one may try something experimental. Other times one will stick to the tried and true options.

This is NOT a good choice of colors in our opinion.

Most folks would agree this is no better.

Here is your more traditional black text on white.

Or, some prefer the dark background with light text.

And this combination while not traditional is not unpleasant to the eye.

 
Bottom line you need to find a color combination for font and background which is pleasing, supports your website's design, and is actually readible by others. If you are only building the website for yourself you can save some money on hosting fees by putting the pages on your computer and using explorer to access them.
